One of our major activities in K-2 this week was practicing subtraction. We spent a lot of time and effort working on subtraction problems. My students really enjoyed using different methods to solve equations: 1) using their fingers 2) using counters 3) drawing pictures and 4) mental math. | |

Language Arts
Dear Parents, Given the importance of technology and digital literacy, it has come to our attention that our students need to be educated and well-aware of the effect technology has upon their education. Simply put, Digital Literacy is the ability to Learn, Locate and Understand information from Digital Devices. Students need to demonstrate their ability to successfully understand and use technology to achieve an end-goal. Furthermore, students need to know how to use technology properly. In this age, being well versed in Digital is an extremely valuable and progressive tool that can promote more engaging and interactive experiences that not only leads to greater productivity, but more importantly, greater knowledge of how things work and why they work in the manner in which they do. The K-2 students have started the process of building up digital literacy since the beginning of this term by enrolling in the Brainzy Math and Reading Programs. Your child can now access his/her personal account at home and engage in building up Reading and Math skills during his/her spare time. There are two ways to access Brainzy Games: Method #1
Method #2
