| After learning about the colours that make up a rainbow in class, the K-2 students came outside to perform a science experiment as part of our Active Learning period. In six separate cups, we've mixed watercolours with vinegar to make a rainbow. Next, I've added baking soda to the mix to make our rainbow "explode." After the bubbling died down, we've poured the mixtures out in the sink in order, starting from red and ending with purple. The students were very proud of the rainbow they've made. |
