The K-3 students and I are nearing the end of our journey together at SBI. And just for the record, I've never met any bunch of kids as committed, as motivated, or as dedicated as them. We've really came a long way together, and I am very proud and honoured to have been part of their learning experiences here at SBI. We took a short trip down memory lane this week by working on a Book Report Project. Each student was asked to choose a book that they like AND that they can read by themselves. Afterwards, they were asked to create a poster about the book and present it to the rest of the class. Most of the students were also able to read their favourite excerpts from their favourite books. It was a really great moment watching these little adults feeling and looking so proud that they're able to read by themselves. What's more is the connection they have with their favourite Dr. Seuss book. It's truly a great literacy-building experience! | “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” |
I really and truly wish each and every one of them the best. I hope that they'll never stop having this positive attitude towards learning, and I sincerely wish that they will be successful in all of their future endeavours. In the words of Dr. Seuss: "Kid, you'll move mountains!" Trust me. I know that you will.
