| We've worked on facial expressions and emotions this week. I've asked the kids to display all ranges of emotions and feelings throughout our rehearsals this week. For instance, sad, happy, angry, scared, and etc. Next, we took what we've learned and applied them to the characters each of the students are playing in our class's musical. Gary (played by Ioan) goes through a variety of emotions throughout the story - annoyed, scared, surprise, thankful, and happy. Sam-I-Am (played by Ryan) is mostly happy and persistent (and ever-so-slightly annoying...Sam-I-Am, I mean) in the story. And so forth. We've also practiced really hard with the dance routine and have worked out the kinks in the routine. |
